Denis Williams was born in Manchester, and spent most of his life in Heald Green in Cheshire. Denis met Edna at the 18+ - the rest is, of course, history.
Dad loved his garden. From the famous giant sunflower that drew attention from all over Manchester to his Wisteria whose cuttings grace other homes. He also loved to write, creating two books about his life as a detective and later as a private detective. Dads short stories were popular - one being read by Edward Woodward on the BBC, no less! His private detective business kept him occupied for many years and he was at his happiest there. An enormous love of curry (thanks to Mum), Dad introduced me to the Plaza Cafe (see on this site).
Dad loved animals, particularly dogs, In his twilight years he always had a few dog biscuits in his pocket for the goodest dogs he met on his walks in Styal Woods and elsewhere.
